The IKARS variety belongs to group II according to the international lilac classification. The flowers are characterized as double, colored in purple tones with a magenta hue, which practically do not fade in the sun.

The plant forms a large shrub and is intended for use in ornamental landscaping. Sometimes the variant "Ivars" is found as a synonym for the name.
