A bushy plant reaching a height and width of 3 meters by 10 years of age. It has green leaves and blooms in April-May. Purple-pink buds form fragrant double flowers when they open.

The variety is winter hardy and withstands temperatures below -20°C. Intended for solitary plantings, it develops well in sunny areas and garden soil, and is adapted to calcareous soils.
