Variety description

Deciduous dense shrub with vigorous growth and good branching. Reaches 1.2–2.1 m in height with a width of 1.2–1.8 m. Habit is upright, becoming rounded over time.

The first abundant wave of flowering occurs in May–June, with repeat flowering on new growth continuing from summer until frost. Flowers are small, tubular, and fragrant; buds are dark purple, and open flowers are lavender-violet. Inflorescences are conical and dense.

The variety possesses good winter hardiness (USDA zone 3 or 4) and improved resistance to leaf pathogens. Shoots are strong; the variety is suitable for use as a specimen plant, in hedges, and in container cultivation.
