Variety description

The shrub is characterized by an upright habit, in which the height of the plant exceeds its width. At the age of nine years, the bush reaches a height of 1.2–1.8 m and a width of about 1.5 m. The foliage is green during the growing season and turns purple or yellow in autumn.

Flowering occurs in spring, in April–May. The inflorescences are large, reaching 30 cm in length and 15 cm in width, and consist of fragrant purple flowers that may lighten over time. The variety has high winter hardiness (USDA zone 3), moderate drought tolerance, and resistance to damage by deer and rabbits.
