The Tigri variety is mid-early and is distinguished by a rapid rate of regrowth. The plant is characterized by an upright form and tall stature.

The crop possesses high resistance to drought, low temperatures, and most phytopathogens, although in some cases susceptibility to stem canker is possible. Under favorable growing conditions, including irrigation, the variety is suitable for multiple green mass harvests.

The plant is used for forage harvesting as hay, pasture use, or green mass production. The variety is also used as a catch crop for improving soil structure, nitrogen fixation, and weed control, and is often included in grass mixtures.
