The variety is characterized by high adaptability to harsh conditions and excellent resistance to cold. The plant tolerates water stagnation and short-term flooding for 7–14 days well, and also demonstrates drought tolerance. The variety is suitable for cultivation on a wide range of soils, including acidic and alkaline environments.
Tigea is used as a forage crop for hay production and livestock grazing. The variety is suitable for inclusion in grass mixtures with graminoid components such as ryegrass or timothy grass. The forage quality of this crop is comparable to red clover.
