The variety is tetraploid and was adapted to the climatic conditions of northern Sweden. In breeding studies, the variety was considered as a forage crop for establishing perennial grass stands.
In comparative yield trials in the northern regions of Sweden, the diploid variety Kurir demonstrated higher performance compared to the Stena variety. The variety was also used in scientific experiments studying nitrogen fixation processes.
