The variety «Changins» traces back to Swiss local populations and is frequently used as genetic material and a parent form in breeding programs to improve the forage quality of clover.
In comparative trials, the variety demonstrates an erect habit and early flowering dates. It shows high yield, while being characterized by moderate lodging resistance and susceptibility to root rot and Fusarium when grown in conditions other than Swiss.
