The variety was bred through phenotypic recurrent selection based on the Merviot variety. The plant has a bunch-type growth habit without the formation of stolons and possesses a deep taproot system, which ensures relatively high drought tolerance.

The variety is capable of fixing from 150 to 200 kg of nitrogen per hectare per year, which allows it to be used for improving soil structure and fertility. In field trials, it demonstrated superiority over control samples in yield and soil cover retention during the autumn period.
