The plant belongs to small- to medium-leaved varieties. It is characterized by medium flowering density, relatively slow growth during the summer period, and limited endurance.

The variety is acyanogenic, containing no cyanogenic glycosides. The produce has high nutritional value and protein content suitable for dairy farming, although in terms of dry matter yield, the variety may be inferior to more modern large-leaved counterparts.
