The Santa variety is one of the Polish varieties of white clover. Work on its study and conservation was carried out as part of the maintenance of the species' genetic resources.

The variety underwent comparative study with a number of other crop varieties during scientific research dedicated to nutritional characteristics and the content of cyanogenic glucosides in plants.
