The Sirius variety belongs to the mid-early group and is distinguished by hollow stems and large leaves. Crude protein content is 18–20%. The plant possesses good digestibility and high palatability for livestock.
The variety is versatile in its use: suitable for direct grazing, hay production, silage, and as a cover crop. The 'multi-cut' development type allows for up to 3–4 mowings per season. Seeds are characterized by an almost complete absence of a hard seed coat, which ensures uniform germination.
