The variety is an annual legume incapable of regrowth after mowing. Compared to crimson clover, it is characterized by taller growth and increased leafiness, and has red inflorescences.
The plant is adapted to the Mediterranean climate with the ability to withstand low temperatures. The variety adapts to clay and sandy soils, however, it does not tolerate excessively wet and calcareous conditions.
Used for the establishment of forage lands and green manuring. To ensure high-quality forage, mowing is recommended at the beginning or during flowering; for green manuring, at the full flowering phase.
