The plant forms inflorescences in the shape of an umbel. The flowers are star-shaped with a diameter of about 2.5–3 cm. The flower color varies in the violet-dark blue-lilac range. Plant height is usually 30–50 cm; cut specimens can reach 60 cm. A distinctive feature of the variety is the absence of scent.
The variety is used in landscape design for borders, rock gardens, and containers, and is also used as a cut flower crop. The flowering period occurs in May–June. The plant prefers well-drained soils and sunny areas or light partial shade.
