The winter triticale variety Bereniko is used in scientific research for the analysis of genetic markers, for example, the VRN1 gene. In comparative morphological analyses of grain, this variety demonstrates some of the smallest indicators of grain weight and size among the studied samples.
The variety is intended for agricultural cultivation. Like other varieties bred by DANKO, it is considered a crop for use as feed grain, as well as for processing in the food industry for the production of flour and compound feeds.
