The variety belongs to the mid-season group of plants, designated by the numerical code 250 in the German classification. The primary economic purpose of the variety is the production of grain for feed or food purposes.

During selection trials, the variety was studied for resistance to a number of diseases and viruses, including the soil-borne viruses WSSMV and SBCMV. In some documentation, it may be referred to as Agro Janus; however, the variety should be distinguished from other breeding lines with a similar name.
