The variety is characterized as a long-stemmed plant with weak resistance to lodging, which requires control of seeding rates and nitrogen fertilizer application. It possesses good resistance to leaf diseases, however, brown rust infection was recorded during prolonged cultivation.
The plant shows a positive response to the application of fungicides for stem and leaf protection. It was used primarily as fodder grain, including in swine diets, as well as in organic farming.
