The Stil variety was bred at the National Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI) Fundulea. The plant possesses semi-dwarf genes, which ensures increased lodging resistance. It belongs to early-maturing forms adapted to the conditions of a temperate continental climate.
It is characterized by high winter hardiness, resistance to drought, heat, and major diseases. The thousand kernel weight is 39–47 g. The variety is intended primarily for feed grain production and is well-adapted to difficult soil and climatic conditions, including sandy soils with limited fertility.
