The variety possesses broad adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions. In grain studies of this variety, the protein content varied from 11.4 to 11.8%, the sedimentation value was 13–17 ml, and the falling number was 158–316 seconds.

The variety is characterized by good milling properties and increased lodging resistance. In scientific works, Tewo has been used as genetic material, in particular, for mapping loci for resistance to pre-harvest sprouting.
