The variety belongs to winter hexaploid forms. The plants have stems ranging from very short to short, with dense to very dense pubescence of the culm neck, although in some descriptions this trait varies to weak or very weak.
The flag leaf is distinguished by a pronounced waxy bloom and strong coloration of the sheath. The coleoptile possesses anthocyanin coloration of medium or strong intensity. The grain coloration during the phenol reaction is characterized as medium.
