The variety belongs to the group of late-maturing varieties, characterized by a slow rate of dry matter accumulation in the grain during the filling period. In agronomic studies, this variety was used for a long time as a reference standard.

In comparative trials with winter wheat, it was noted that the grain of the TRIGLAV variety has a higher thousand kernel weight, but has a lower test weight. The variety is intended for use in agriculture as a fodder or grain crop.
