The protein content in Trigantus grain was 11.7–12.0%, and the specific weight of the grain was at the level of 71.3 kg/hl. During field trials, susceptibility of plants to smut infection was noted.
The crop was intended for cultivation in soil and climatic conditions where wheat cultivation was less efficient.
