The variety is a winter form of triticale. During trials without fungicide treatment, low susceptibility to ear septoria, leaf spot, and brown rust was recorded. The degree of susceptibility to powdery mildew and leaf septoria was slightly higher.
The variety is intended for use as a fodder grain crop with potential for the food industry. There is another variety with a similar name — KWS Volpino, belonging to a different breeding company.
