Under the name Asli, there are several independent soft wheat varieties. One of them, bred by Saatzucht Donau GmbH, is represented in field crop registers, although a detailed description of its morphological and agronomic traits is absent in open sources.
Another winter soft wheat variety under the name Asli, bred in Kazakhstan, is a tall plant with a stem height of 110–135 cm. It is characterized by lodging resistance, high drought tolerance, and adaptation to dryland farming conditions, which makes it suitable for mechanized harvesting. Facts regarding the registration of varieties with the same name in Turkey are also mentioned.
