Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was obtained through selection from a hybrid combination of the Durin and Ploughman varieties. The plant structure incorporates Norin 10 semi-dwarf genes, which allowed for a significant reduction in stem height compared to traditional varieties.

The wheat is characterized as a bread-making quality variety. During the breeding process, the variety was studied for resistance to yellow rust; however, in the period 1977–1983, it demonstrated increased susceptibility to diseases as it became widely distributed in Great Britain.
