The variety was obtained by crossing lines K912 x K602. The plant is characterized by low height and early heading. The ear awns have a characteristic black color.

The variety possesses resistance to leaf rust and lodging. It shows moderate resistance to powdery mildew and septoria, and moderate susceptibility to fusarium.

Grain quality is characterized by a protein content of 15–16%, a gluten index of 75–80%, and a yellowness index of 23–24. The thousand kernel weight is about 52 g. The variety is suitable for use in organic farming.
