The variety belongs to winter forms of durum wheat. The plants have a height from 85.15 to 95.85 cm, an index that increases with higher doses of nitrogen fertilizers. The variety has been used as a parent form in breeding programs for the development of other wheat varieties.

The variety demonstrates high yield under intensive mineral nutrition, reaching values of up to 6478 kg/ha with the application of a fertilizer complex. In comparison with a number of other Romanian durum wheat varieties, Condurum possesses better product quality indicators.
