The Dupri variety has moderate susceptibility to Fusarium head blight, showing better results in comparative trials than most other studied varieties. Relative plant resistance to Wheat streak mosaic virus is noted.

The use of the variety is traditional for durum wheat and is aimed at processing into pasta. The variety is also used in technological research dedicated to studying the composition of glutenins in grain.
