The variety has a high raw protein content and high grain vitreousness with a medium to high falling number. Grain sorting is characterized as low, and a tendency for dark spots to appear on the grain is also noted.

In tests for resistance to fungal diseases, including wheat smut, the variety showed ear infection of less than 10% under artificial inoculation.

The purpose of the variety is related to processing into semolina and pasta, which is due to the quality characteristics of its grain.
