The variety is used primarily in scientific programs, particularly at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, to study the composition of mineral elements, fiber, arabinoxylans, and phenolic compounds. The variety is intended for food purposes; it is used to produce whole wheat flour, white flour, and bran.

In comparative studies, the variety demonstrates good dough rheological properties. Work is also being conducted to study the composition of gluten proteins and the content of carotenoids, which influence the color of semolina. Agronomic characteristics, such as plant height, maturity dates, and disease resistance, are not described.
