The variety was obtained as a result of a breeding program using a modified pedigree method, in which F3 generation lines were selected for further work. The variety is focused on obtaining stable yields in the conditions of the Mediterranean region.

The grain is characterized by a high content of yellow pigments and good protein quality indicators. Due to these properties, the produce has high vitreousness and is suitable for processing into flour for pasta.
