The variety is a semi-dwarf plant created on the basis of CIMMYT breeding lines. It is oriented toward the production of high-quality pasta and is officially recognized as a preferred variety for these purposes in a number of regions.

The plant possesses high yield and the ability to adapt to Mediterranean climatic conditions. The grain of the variety is distinguished by high protein content, the minimum indicator of which for ensuring product quality is set at the 13% level.

The variety has been used in breeding programs and agronomic research, including studies of the response to pathogens such as yellow rust.
