The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Creso and Valgerardo. The grain possesses a high content of protein, dietary fiber, and antioxidant compounds, in particular carotenoids, which give the end products a characteristic color.

The variety is adapted to cultivation with limited resources and under organic farming conditions, demonstrating stable productivity. In publications, the variety is mentioned in the context of trials for resistance to mosaic virus and rust.
