The variety belongs to high-quality durum wheat. Its primary industrial purpose is its use in the food industry for the production of pasta.

During scientific research, the Teodorico variety was used as a reference when evaluating resistance to various pathogens, including stem rust and septoria, where it showed susceptibility to these diseases. Detailed agronomic parameters, such as plant height or lodging indicators, are not presented in open publications.
