The genetic origin of the variety is linked to North American breeding lines and traces back to the Edmore variety. In scientific studies, the variety is characterized by a 6+8 protein subunit composition and a yellow pigment content in the endosperm comparable to the AC Avonlea variety.

The plant has high productivity, which is why it is used in breeding programs. The variety is included in international scientific collections for research on the composition of alkylresorcinols and alkenylresorcinols, as well as the study of cadmium accumulation processes.
