Variety description

The plant belongs to winter or alternative growth types. By morphological traits, Bulel resembles wheat: it has a semi-erect habit, presence of awns, and a light green color. The spike contains from 20 to 24 spikelets.
The variety possesses resistance to rust, septoria, heat and drought, and is also suitable for organic farming due to moderate fertilizer requirements. The grain has a thousand kernel weight of 34–37 g and a test weight of 72–80 kg/hl.
The protein content in the grain is about 14–18%. The crop is characterized by an increased content of lutein and dietary fiber, as well as high enzymatic activity, which allows the raw material to be used for the production of flour, bakery products, and malt.
