The variety is derived from the species Tulipa clusiana and belongs to the multi-flowering tulip group. The height of the compact stems is 25–35 cm. When the flower opens, a characteristic contrasting dark purple, almost black, center is revealed.

The coloration of the petals undergoes changes during the flowering process: from soft salmon or cream to raspberry pink and pastel brown-orange shades. The flowering period occurs early, in March-April.

The plant is a perennial crop capable of spreading well under favorable conditions. It is suitable for cultivation in containers, rock gardens, and borders, requiring good drainage and a sunny location.
