The Argos tulip variety belongs to the Triumph class. The flower has dense petals with a satin surface, a classic goblet shape, and edges that can be slightly wavy. The inflorescence coloration varies in mauve, lilac, and violet-lavender tones; the variety has a fresh aroma of medium intensity.

The plant reaches a height of 40–60 cm and is distinguished by a strong, upright stem. The variety is suitable for forcing with a cooling period of about 16 weeks and a forcing time of about 24 days. It prefers sunny areas with well-drained soils of neutral or slightly alkaline reaction and is used for flower beds and cut flowers.
