In sources, the variety is described as an ornamental plant with flowers in shades of red, pink-red, or coral. There is conflicting data regarding the classification of the variety into specific tulip groups: it is described as either Double Late forms with peony-like flowers, or Fringed varieties, or Triumph tulips with a cup-shaped form.

The plant height varies in the range of 20 to 50 cm. The flowering period is most often defined as late, occurring in April or May, although in some cases mid-season timing is indicated. The plant is characterized by sturdy peduncles and resistance to weather conditions; it is suitable for cut flowers and cultivation in flower beds or containers.
