The tulip variety Crispion Dark belongs to the fringed (FR) class, sometimes classified as fringed double. The flowers have a red-cherry color, with petals decorated by needle-like fringes at the edges. The cup height reaches 6–8 cm, and the diameter when fully open is up to 10 cm.

The plant forms a strong flower stalk 45–50 cm in height and green foliage. The variety is late-blooming, with flowering occurring at the end of May. Used for planting in flower beds and for cut flowers. Characterized by average growth rate and ease of propagation.
