The variety belongs to the group of fringed tulips, and in a number of descriptions is characterized as double-fringed. The bud has a bright red shade, and a bright yellow needle-like fringe is located along the edges of the petals; a reddish-orange color of the center may appear during flowering. The diameter of the flower in full bloom is 10–15 cm.

Peduncles grow up to 40–50 cm. The flowering period falls in May, sometimes starting from the end of April; the duration of flowering of one bud is 10–14 days. The variety is frost-resistant, requires planting in drained soil due to its sensitivity to waterlogging and drafts.

The plant is used for landscaping areas, including the creation of flower beds, borders, and mono-plantings; the variety is also suitable for forcing. When identifying, it is important not to confuse this variety with the pink-cream Crispion Sweet.
