The plant reaches a height of 40–55 cm and has strong peduncles. The height of the dense goblet is 8–11 cm. The variety is mid-season flowering; the flowering period in open field falls on April–May.

The variety possesses resistance to adverse weather conditions, including wind, rain, and spring frosts. In cut state, it retains its commercial appearance for up to 12–14 days.

De Dijk is considered a versatile variety, suitable for industrial forcing, landscape design as part of group plantings, bordering, flower beds and containers, as well as for cutting.
