The flower has a shape characteristic of lily-flowered tulips: the petals are narrow, pointed at the ends, and elegantly reflexed outward, which gives the bud a resemblance to a lily. The coloration is bright, contrasting, and represents a combination of red and yellow colors. The foliage is elongated, lanceolate, of a dark green or glaucous-green shade.
The plant reaches a height of 35–45 to 50–60 cm. Flowering occurs in April–May. The variety has sturdy stems and is suitable for cutting, as well as decorative use in flower beds, borders, and containers. The variety prefers sunny locations or light partial shade and well-drained fertile soils.
