The plant belongs to the Greigii class, reaching 15–30 cm in height. Goblet-shaped flowers have a yellow-red "fiery" coloration with vertical stripes and may possess a fragrance. The basal green foliage is often covered with purple spots or streaks.

The variety is early-flowering, with blooming occurring in March–April. It is characterized by winter hardiness and the ability to grow in one place without annual lifting. The plant is suitable for rock gardens, foregrounds of flower beds, container gardening, and cut flowers.

Cultivation requires sunny, wind-protected sites with loose, fertile, and drained soil.
