The Fortress variety belongs to the Triumph group. The plant forms large goblet-shaped buds about 8 cm in height and 7–9 cm in diameter. The flower color is solid, purple, with a satin or soft glossy sheen, sometimes with a pink-lavender tint.

The height of the peduncle is from 45 to 60 cm. The stem is sturdy, upright, and resistant to lodging. Leaves are lanceolate, green, sometimes with a glaucous bloom.

The tulip is mid-flowering, with the flowering period occurring in the second half of April – early May. The variety is recommended for professional forcing, including hydroponics. It is characterized by resistance to Fusarium, mechanical damage, and weather conditions, and maintains freshness for a long time when cut.
