Labrador tulip belongs to the class of fringed tulips. Its large goblet-shaped flower is distinguished by a rich dark burgundy, almost wine-purple color with a black or chocolate sheen, and the edges of the petals are decorated with a characteristic needle-like fringe.

The plant reaches a height of 40–60 cm and has a sturdy erect peduncle. The variety is mid-late; flowering begins in May and lasts for 2–3 weeks.

The variety has high resistance to winds, heavy rains, and frosts, as well as good immunity to fungal diseases. The flowers are long-lasting, retain their shape when cut, and are suitable for landscape design.
