The variety belongs to the botanical tulip group, is a tetraploid, and originates from Tulipa clusiana. The plant reaches a height of 20–30 cm, up to 40–50 cm under optimal conditions. It has narrow gray-green foliage.
The flowers are elegant, elongated, with pointed petals that open fully in sunny weather. The outer side of the petals is blush-pink with a white border, the inner side is creamy white, often with a yellow or purple-red base.
The variety is early-flowering, blooming from April to early May. It is winter-hardy, capable of propagating by daughter bulbs, and growing in one place for several years without lifting. Sensitive to soil waterlogging.
