Variety description

The variety belongs to the species tulips group. The flower stalk height is 15–20 cm; a development feature is that the bud opens almost at ground level, after which the flower stalk extends to its final height.

The flowers have a bright scarlet or dark red color with a star-shaped petal form and a black spot in the center, which may be bordered by a yellowish-green color. The flowering period occurs in April or April–May.

The plant is resistant to Verticillium wilt and naturalizes well in the garden. It prefers sunny areas with well-drained soil, while stagnant moisture is detrimental to the bulbs.
