The variety belongs to the fringed tulip class and reaches a height of 40–50 cm. The flower features a characteristic needle-like fringe on the petal edges. Coloration varies from red-lilac to a combination of orange-red with a yellow fringe. The plant has a pleasant sweet fragrance.

The variety is mid-flowering, although some sources may list it as mid-late or late-flowering. It is suitable for cultivation in open field, flower beds, containers, and for cut flowers. It tolerates temperature treatment at 9 °C but is not intended for forcing in water.
