The Royal van Eijk variety is a sport of the Van Eijk tulip and belongs to the Darwin Hybrid class. Representatives of this group are characterized by large goblet-shaped flowers, strong flower stalks, and high resistance to lodging, wind, and rain, as well as to tulip breaking virus.
The plant reaches a height of 45–60 cm. Flowering occurs in the period from April to May. The variety is suitable for use in landscape design, is suitable for cutting due to its long vase life, and is suitable for forcing.
